Business Operations

The functions of the Business Operations Unit are both numerous and complicated.  The aim of this booklet is to provide a general insight into these processes by giving a brief overview of the work carried out in our offices. Our hope is to help broaden the understanding of some of the Business Operations processes among staff and process users. The booklet is designed to focus on some of the areas that
staff require the most information about and help explain the process. As you are, no doubt, aware Business Operations operates in a highly regulated environment and regulatory compliance is imperative. Further information on these regulations or, indeed, on any other area of interest are available in the Business Operation section on the HSE Intranet.

Business Operations incorporates all of the administrative functions within the OoCIO. This includes:

Financial processing

Records management

HR support

Facilitating staff training and development

Conference/meeting organisation

General Administrative supports to the OoCIO

Since its publication, we have added a new Digital Media and Communications team who are responsible for :

 

eHealth Ireland digital content (Case Studies, News Items, events, social media content - @ehealthireland )

eHealth Ireland digital magazine ( a bi-monthly publication containing highlights and stories from the previous 2 months as well as regular interviews with eHealth providers, OoCIO staff and patients)

producing publications from the OoCIO

conference materials e.g. presentations, videos, photos

promoting and encouraging improved communications within the department

promoting and encouraging improved communications from the OoCIO to our user base.

What is Business Operations?
