Thursday 26th October in Dr. Steevens Hospital Dublin.

WHAT IS CHAT23?

CHAT23 is a 1-day hackathon that will bring together HSE frontline staff and their eHealth colleagues to focus on ways to improve workflows and resolve specific task-related pressure points or bottlenecks across the health service, through the innovative deployment of intelligent workflow automation and AI technologies. Workflow automation technology can perform a wide range of actions such as:

  • Automate the input and validation of data.
  • Digitise paper-based activities.
  • Identify and extract data from text and images.
  • Automate complex workflows.
  • Provide chatbots and virtual assistants.
  • Streamline complex sequences of tasks across multiple systems.

How can you be involved?

Healthcare professionals from across the organisation are invited to submit proposals before Friday 29th September that describe challenging and/or inefficient work practices or processes which could be improved through the introduction of digital workflow automation and release healthcare workers for more productive or patient-focused activities. Think of processes or workflows that are:

  • High Volume
  • Repetitive
  • Rules Based
  • Transactional
  • Paper Based
  • Time Consuming

Successful submission owners will be invited to attend an in-person event and engage directly with our technical teams on the 26th October at CHAT23 to develop technology-based proposals utilising leading edge digital solutions and potentially, solution prototypes for further development by the eHealth team.
