Through our expertise and dedication, we ensure healthcare professionals nationwide remain connected, enabling them to deliver high-quality care with confidence.
Our key functions are:
- Nationwide Support for HSE Staff: Ensuring that Health Service Executive (HSE) staff across the country receive expert technical assistance directly from network providers, enabling uninterrupted mobile communications to support daily healthcare operations.
- Hardware Procurement and Management: Managing the end-to-end procurement process for mobile devices and accessories, maintaining optimal inventory levels to meet organisational demands swiftly and efficiently.
- Vendor and Contract Oversight: Leading vendor relationships and contract negotiations, ensuring service level agreements are met and securing the best value and service quality for the healthcare system.
- Centralised Budget and Payment Management: Overseeing all financial transactions and budgets related to mobile telephony, promoting transparency, cost-effectiveness, and fiscal accountability.
- Standardised Auditing: Implementing robust auditing processes to ensure compliance, security, and operational excellence across all mobile telephony services.
- Capital Hardware Acquisition: Coordinating the procurement of capital equipment to support the continued technological advancement of healthcare infrastructure.
- Stock Control and Estate Refresh: Maintaining accurate stock records and managing the systematic refresh of mobile device estates, ensuring staff access to the latest technology.
- OGP Framework Participation: Collaborating with the Office of Government Procurement (OGP) to align procurement activities with national frameworks, ensuring best practices and compliance.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring all mobile telephony operations comply with national standards and regulations, reinforcing the security and integrity of healthcare communications.
Centralised Access Point: The Mobiles Dashboard
Accessible via the National Service Desk’s Self-Service Portal, the Mobiles Dashboard serves as the central hub for all mobile telephony services. Through the dedicated e-Form, staff can submit requests for new devices, upgrades, reallocations, roaming services, or report lost or stolen devices.
