The Ambulance Arrivals Project was developed as a result of a framework document jointly produced by the National Ambulance Service and Acute Hospital Division in collaboration with the Emergency Medicine Programme responding to the delay in resources in the transfer of care patients at Acute Hospitals.

HSE Audiology (Hearing) Services provide a comprehensive, family-friendly service for babies, children of all ages and for all eligible adults. The Community Audiology Services (CAS) assesses and manages hearing loss, and if necessary refers a client for appropriate medical or surgical treatment.
Primary Care Centre Castlebar Case Study
The inclusion of a radiography room in the newly constructed Primary Care Centre in Castlebar allowed the existing resources to be utilised to provide radiography service exclusively for GP referred patients.

Telehealth Project Donegal
The aim of the project was to implement a Telemonitoring pilot in Donegal for Adults with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus commencing insulin for a period of 12 weeks. The project would include 40 patients. The objectives were to measure the effect on HbA1c at baseline, 12 weeks and 6 months and to explore the benefits of telemonitoring along with the impact on hospital admissions and GP visits.
