I have worked in Healthcare for over 19 years with 5 of these years spent working with the NIMIS National Team. In this role I have worked on the implementation of a national PACS/RIS solution into a large number of hospitals as Project Manager and National RIS lead. I have developed a variety of skills in this role including project delivery while working in complex environments and driving change processes. I provide a national level of support and guidance to the 39 hospitals currently live with NIMIS and continue to organize ongoing follow up training workshops for Radiology administration staff in these hospitals.
I have recently become a member of the Council of Clinical information officers which gives me a great opportunity to see how informatics or IT projects can improve efficiencies in healthcare and improve care pathways for patients.
Before joining the NIMIS team I worked for 14 years in the radiology department in Beaumont Hospital and I was part of the local implementation team for NIMIS in Beaumont. My role in Beaumont before I joined the NIMIS National Team was as Radiology Directorate Support Manager.
Work aside, I am a busy mum of two beautiful children and I work hard to make time for my family while still meeting my busy work schedule. I enjoy a challenge and have recently taken up running for various charity fund raising events.
