Meet the Team

Emma Donoghue

Emma Donoghuehello my name isEmma Donoghue

Hi I'm Emma and I joined the NIMIS National Team in March 2019, previously I worked in Beaumont Hospital for 19 years mostly in the radiology department, my most recent role as the RIS manager looking after Beaumont Hospital, St Joseph's Hospital Raheny and Clontarf Orthopaedic Hospital.  I was also a tester for the local implementation team for NIMIS in Beaumont prior to our "go live" of NIMIS August 2011.  I have worked in many areas in radiology throughout my 19 years including reception, MRI, CT, departmental secretary, typing room and RAS (Radiology Admin Support) room.

I have done a learning and development course and on completion of that course my project MRI pre checklist guide was successfully implemented and rolled out in out-patient clinics in Beaumont Hospital and I also went on to complete a management and leadership course.

There were only two times I worked outside of the Radiology Department, my first time I worked with the Vascular Lab and Pulmonary Function Unit.  Most recently prior to my RIS manager role I worked as Transport co-ordinator liaising with patient flow and CNMS on all wards as well as NAS(National Ambulance Service) private ambulance services and Lynk Blue Cabs for arranging transport for patient's treatment in other facilities or follow on care.

Outside of work I take part in National Health Voices Choir which is made up from a variety of staff working in all hospitals around the country that come together and sing songs which we have also recorded for charity.  I also like to work out in the gym several times a week to de-stress and unwind.
