Emily Ennis

Emily hello my name isEmily Ennis

Emily joined the team full-time in 2018, having assisted the team for the previous 3 years while working as PACS manager in University Hospital Waterford.  Qualified as a diagnostic radiographer from University of Ulster at Jordanstown and originally working in the NHS, Emily moved to the sunny south east in 2005 and commenced work in Waterford Regional Hospital.  Specialised in CT and Nuclear Medicine Imaging, in 2006 Emily moved to the private sector and established the PETCT Scanning unit in Whitfield Clinic.  Since Emily's return to the Public Sector, she has completed a Masters in Science, Post Grad Diploma in Medical Image and Post Grad Certificate in CT Imaging and most recently a Masters in Health Informatics with the University of Limerick.

Emily is a lifelong learner and peer educator, focused on the delivery of high quality patient care, driven by quality data from information systems.  Give her dirty data or an excel spread sheet with an issue and she's happy figuring out what went wrong and how to fix it.  She is on a mission to keep NIMIS clean.

Outside of work Emily is busy with family life and the adventures that brings, always planning the next trip away usually with her camera close by.  Emily also has been a scout leader in Waterford city for over 10 years having previously been a Girl Guide leader in Northern Ireland.  If she does have time to be at home she loves music, gardening, painting and baking.
