Yvonne is the Chief Clinical Information Officer of the Health Service Executive in Ireland. A radiographer by background, Yvonne has over 20 years of experience in the Health Sector with five of these directly involved in Informatics. Yvonne has been a key driver in one of the largest eHealth projects in Ireland to date, the NIMIS project, and has developed an expertise in project delivery in difficult environments. In her role as Chief Clinical Information Officer, Yvonne is committed to promoting eHealth Ireland as a proactive business enabler by growing and sustaining networks and collaboration between clinicians, innovators and the wider eHealth community.

It has been over two years since the Council of Clinical Information Officers was established in Ireland. Under Yvonne’s guidance, the Council of Clinical Information Officers has grown to a rich network of over 320 members across many regions and disciplines who contribute to the development of business cases for priority eHealth projects and programmes ensuring that the implementation of technology meets the needs of patients and clinicians to deliver a high quality, effective and integrated health care service.

Yvonne also plays a key role in promoting the eHealth agenda to the wider eHealth Ecosystem by enabling relationships and pathways for innovative solutions to be developed through connecting clinicians, researchers, academics, policy-makers, vendors and service users at events such as the eHealth Ireland Ecosystem.

Yvonne is also responsible for creating, maintaining and sustaining the eHealth I3 platform (Innovation, Ideation and Impact) and managing the innovation pathway to identify and support new technology for use within the HSE.

In 2016, Yvonne won the IT Person of the Year at the Tech Excellence Awards and she was elected to the UK and Ireland Digital Health Council. In 2017, Yvonne was re-elected to the UK and Ireland Digital Health Council and became a CHIME Faculty Member where she leads the delivery of training, development and support to Informatics professionals in Ireland.
