WHAT IS A CANCER TRIAL
Cancer trials test new and more effective ways to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer. Trials can involve testing new drugs or combinations of commonly used drugs, new therapies, new ways of treating cancer or new ways of diagnosing cancer. They may test surgical techniques, medical devices or physical therapies.
www.cancertrials.ie are hosting an International Clinical Trials day on Friday 18th May at Farmleigh House located in The Phoenix Park at11am. This is to celebrate the fantastic contribution patients and their families, clinicians and researchers make to helping find answers to cancer through cancer trials.
