Hosted by HIMSS Europe and in partnership with Health Service Executive (HSE) and Health and Social Care (HSC) in Northern Ireland, the event will see influential CIOs, Chief Clinical Information Officers (CCIOs) and industry leaders discuss key topics surrounding the health and care digital agenda.
The agenda, which is designed to maximise learning opportunities and sharing of best practice examples, will focus on leading through times of change, followed by workshops and sessions and will put an emphasis on business and cultural change and benchmarking and measuring change.
Key speakers include Richard Corbridge, HSE CIO and eHealth Ireland CEO, chair of the first ELS in Dublin, Sean Donaghy, Director of eHealth & External Collaboration, Health and Social Care Board, Northern Ireland, Johan Waktare, CCIO Liverpool Heart & Chest NHS Hospital and John Rayner, HIMSS Analytics Regional Director for Europe and Latin America.
Speaking about the upcoming event Richard Corbridge said
"I am delighted to be working with HIMSS again to host this fantastic event. We are continuing on our jouney of digital transformation and events like the Execultive Leadership Summit give us an opportunity to reflect on our work so far and on how we can improve. I also know that the CHIME work shop will challenge and equip us to do this"
For the first time in its European history, the event will also host a dedicated workshop on Developing Talent and Effective Teams & Building Networks and Community in partnership with HIMSS CHIME International. The session will be led by Russ Branzell, CEO of CHIME, a global non-profit organisation focused on advancing the role of CIOs and senior healthcare IT leaders through education.
Sarah Bruce, HIMSS Europe Director of Media, Marketing and Communications said:
“Ireland and Northern Ireland are increasingly becoming hotbeds of innovation and digital advances in healthcare. HIMSS is once again, extremely excited to bring together the leaders who are driving these developments at a crucial time in their strategic initiatives.
The summit will take place on the 22nd of March at the Conrad Hotel in Dublin, followed by the Executive Leadership Summit Dinner. CIOs, CCIOs and key health IT influencers will discuss different IT strategies at a time when Ireland and Northern Ireland are looking to enter into a major, multi-million Euro procurement to digitise their health services.
The first Executive Leadership Summit, which took place in November last year, included high caliber speakers such as Tony O'Brien, Director general at HSE, Will Smart, CIO at NHS England, Dr. Pieter van de Graff, eHealth Clinical Strategy Leader at the Scottish Government and Andrew Griffiths, CIO at NHS Wales.
