HR and NDTP teams in HSE win CIPD Special Recognition Award
eHealthIreland is delighted to congratulate the HR & NDTP (National Doctors Training & Planning) teams of the HSE on their recent success at the CIPD Ireland HR Awards on the 17th February. NER (National Employment Record) – NDTP shared a Special Recognition Award with HSE HR.
The judging panel decided on a special award to recognise where strong foundations and solid progress was being made in a challenging environment, with pointers towards excellence emerged as part of significant reform that should have a durable impact into the future.
Reflecting the organisation’s positive engagement with the CIPD Awards process and the specific work around diversity, equality and inclusion, and the National Employment Record Portal, the 2017 CIPD Special Recognition Award was presented to the HR and NDTP teams in the Health Service Executive. The OoCIO worked with NDTP to specify and develop the system. It project managed all ICT aspects including setting up infrastructure and liaising with the developer Opensky. New modules for Consultant Post Management and Occupational Health are currently being introduced
This follows on from the success of the National Employment Record (NER) when it was the winner in the 'Best use of IT' category at the November 2016 Irish Healthcare Awards. The award recognises this innovative system which benefits both NCHDs and employers. NDTP would like to thank all those NCHDs who have opened NER Portal Accounts and Medical HR Departments Nationally for working with us to ensure the success of NER.
